Effective Action Against Comment Spammers
Yesterday a spammer process came by and posted 7 time with links to "online poker". Through the judicious use of Comment Moderation I defeated him with ease. Ha ha ha (diabolical laughter).
Truly, it does give me perverse pleasure to delete posts like that before they're ever seen by the public.
For me, Comment Moderate is a great way of prevent spammers. It works well for my purpose. Perhaps it wouldn't if I had a highly active blog.

I'm not surprised repulsing this threat gave you so much satisfaction. All these cyber-miscreants make internet usage a worrying thing for many.
I regularly get emails sent to me, purporting to come from banks with whom I don't even have a current account,asking me to access sites for a 'security check' or some such ruse. It's obviously a scam to part the naive and unwary from their hard-earned.
