Down with a Cold
I'm out of action today with a cold but I thought I'd log into this blog anyway to make a short post. I was pretty surprised and a bit disappointed to find that the blog spammers have now discovered pacemake.com in a big way.
17 new posts from spammers.
I'm not sure why they keep coming back and posting here as I'm preventing all comments from being shown through the comment moderation feature of Movable Type.
That does mean that I have to spend a little extra time clearing away all those spam comments in the backoffice but its not too much trouble - just annoying.
From what I've heard, some people have been having much worse problems with this that I have. There are stories of people's servers being seriously stressed due to extreme spam loads
The people at Movable Type responded to this and released a new version of MT - 3.14. The only question is, can I be bothered to re-install?
