It's 2005 - Make a fortune in Search

Its 2 days since Google founders Brin and Page appeared on CBS. And at least one Search Whiz has linked this event to a significant increase in income for those that work in the Search business.

Fallon who authored the much acclaimed Stomping The Search Engines said: "Many people who still didn't know what AdWords are are going to know now... This is going to be a great year for the Search industry"

Having read the CBS Report myself, I have to say I agree. That CBS interview will have simplified the understanding of Google Adwords for many people - it made it easy for business people to understand the important question: "How can Google make ME money?"

A lot more business people will "get it" now and Brad expects a huge increase in the already massive demand for search marketing professionals (he can't keep up with the work). So he's thinking of leading a workshop for people wanting to get into the Search Marketing field.

Personally I'm not very into consulting. And as an affiliate marketer I have a completely different perspective on this.

To me, more money moving towards Google and other Search Engines means more income from a number of things:

  1. More sales from ebooks explaining Google Adwords and Adwords advertising strategies.
  2. More sales from keyword tools that let you figure the "best" advertising terms on Google.
  3. Higher competition (and prices) for Google Adwords terms. Which will lead to more of 1 and 2.

And of course there could be gains in Google Adsense income for those of us who are publishers.

We may also see a significant Adwords competitor in 2005.
