Ping Test Day 5 Last Day
OK, this will be my last day attempting to use blog and ping to attract the Yahoo spider. I haven't succeeded over the last 5 days.
People say that Yahoo responds immediately to pings on weblog aggregator sites. Well I'm not finding that to be true in this case.
This will be my last post along these lines and tomorrow I'll go back to the familiar practise of linking.
The additional thing I did today was remove and re-include my site in MyYahoo.
I know that other people have reported inconsistent results with blogging and pinging.
Please note: attracting the spiders to a regularly crawled blog which you then update daily is one thing. Trying to attract spiders to your blog through pinging is another. And I am suspecting that this may not work as people claim - at least not on Yahoo.
